It’s not a huge month for new content on Netflix, but what is showing up is exciting. Actually, there’s a lot more good stuff leaving this month than is being added. You may want to clear your schedule from now until midnight, because Jackie Brown, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, FernGully, the 1987 Rumpelstiltskin, School of Rock, The IT Crowd, Total Recall, W., and The Lost Boys are all leaving September 1st. (You have until September 3rd to watch Dinosaurs, September 13th for High Fidelity, and the 28th for Undeclared. Oh, and you’ve got till September 16th to still not care about The Slap.)

So what’s taking their place? See a full list below, but here’s what to be excited about.

Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood
Last month, Netflix made our childhood heart memories smile by releasing 25 episodes of Reading Rainbow. Now they’re giving us Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood and I couldn’t be happier. This is a man who wore sweaters knit by his mother. He based his weight around the concept of love. He was best friends with Koko the gorilla. He gave a stirring speech to the US Senate worthy of a Jimmy Stewart movie. He’s such an incredible man, his car was once stolen, and when the thieves found out who the car belonged to, THEY RETURNED IT WITH A NICE NOTE. We all need more of this man in our lives.

The League, Season 6

Up In the Air

Bad Night (September 4)

I’m including this under “things to be excited about” because I had never heard of Bad Night until just now and it looks SO BAD. Like, in the running for worst movie you can watch right now level bad. And the cast is so great! This movie feels momentous in its badness.

Madam Bovary (September 11)
Reviews for this were not great, but sometimes you just want to watch Mia Wasikowska in a fancy hat.

Portlandia, Season 5 (September 12)

Comedy Bang! Bang! Season 4, Part 2 (September 13)

Moonrise Kingdom (September 14)

Keith Richards: Under the Influence (September 18)

This documentary sounds so very badass, focused around exploring “the sounds and influences of the Rolling Stones icon as he creates his first solo album in more than 20 years.”

Parenthood, Season 6 (September 25)
Hmm. Maybe I’ll finally finish this show.
