Original Guns N Roses Line-Up Set To Reunite, Gouge Your Wallet

In Amazing Late 90s Or Maybe Mid 2000s News: a good portion of the original line-up of Guns ‘N’ Roses is apparently set to reunite for Coachella ‘16, as well as a stadium tour, Billboard is reporting.

A good portion means: Slash and Duff McKagan (no Izzy Stradlin or Steven Adler) teaming up with Axl, who has been touring under the name ever since Slash and McKagan parted ways with him after a Buenos Aires gig in 1993 — putting to an end what most would consider to have been a rather protracted collapse of one of the greatest hard rock bands of the 80s (and indeed ever).

Now, as I’ve just revealed, I like Guns ‘N’ Roses. A lot. I think Appetite for Destruction is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. I think Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II is a damn great album stretched pointlessly over two albums. Hell, I’m even one of those seven or so people in the world who love Chinese Democracy. But this tour, should it turn out to be true, will most likely barely raise a shrug from me. It’s 2015. Just let it go, guys. Hell, I like watching old bands still playing — I’ve seen Deep Purple three times for Chrissakes! I’ve seen Myles Kennedy perform the Guns ‘N’ Roses classics with you, Slash, live, a number of times. And it’s fun, but also a bit depressing after a while. So don’t bother with this tour. Just let the legacy be.

Oh, you’re asking $3 million per show? And for tickets to come in at the $250-$275 range? Blow me, GNR, no fucking way. I can go see Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Rammstein, and a whole plethora of other greats at one festival for roughly the same price.

And they probably won’t be several hours late to the stage.
