Will Smith Explains the Benefits of the 'Hover Hands' Pose

I will say this for Will Smith; no matter how many questionable movies he makes, or how annoying his children may seem, he himself has always been great in his interviews and seems like a fun person to be around. He was on Graham Norton with Margot Robbie to promote Focus and Graham confronted him about his “hover hands” photo taking habits. Smith, though, was prepared with a full explanation of how he came to favor the pose:

As someone who has experienced strangers and near-strangers take undue advantage of photo opportunities to slip a VERY tight arm around my waist or engage in other overly familiar and occasionally inappropriate contact, keep promoting the benefits of hover hands, Will Smith. You’re doing good work there.

David Beckham and Hugh Jackman were also recently on, I have no idea if this was the same show or not but all these clips were posted last night and that’s all I ever have to go on with Graham Norton. They’re probably slightly less interesting for most Americans, as the focus is heavily on Beckham, but I know some of you are soccer/”football” fans. That first clip is Beckham discussing his retirement and his sons’ new athletic pursuits, and the second shows off some of his more unfortunate hair cuts.

Still have not gotten used to that voice coming out of that face. Also, I guess we all know who Jackman roots for also, so there’s your conversation opener if you ever meet him and retain the ability to form words.
