Welcome Back, 'Outlander'!

Everyone’s second favorite show about a sexy time traveller comes back tonight at 9pm on Starz. I’m sure some of you have been waiting for months to find out what happens to Jamie and Claire, due to a completely inexplicable mid-season break in the first season of the show. Listen, Starz, if HBO can run Game of Thrones almost straight through (there’s usually a week off for Memorial Day) then you can run a full season of Outlander in a timely manner. Keep that in mind for next season. To get you ready, Starz has posted what appears to be the first three minutes of tonight’s episode on YouTube:

Over at Vanity Fair, Richard Lawson has a review of the show that covers the first and second half of the seasons, but without spoilers. He says it’s possibly “The weirdest show on TV” but in a nice way, because “the more this show refuses to define itself in any concrete terms, the more it swerves between genre and tone - sometimes sweet, sometimes sanctimonious, sometimes startlingly graphic, sometimes proper and reserved - the more I’m drawn in.”

There’s also this charming video of stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan reading viewer tweets.

And Caitriona forced to play Kill, Fuck, Marry at Paleyfest.

So prepare your DVRs and whatever lions you may be responsible for, because sexually explicit historical drama is coming back to your TV tonight! If you get Starz, anyway.
