The Graham Norton Show this week had slightly less star power than some of the shows from the end of last year, but James Nesbitt, Tracey Ullman, and Ralph Fiennes showed up. The feel wasn’t as high energy, but more just a fun and relaxed conversation between all of them. Given the panel, we started off with some very UK-centric chatter about Royal Orders and all before jumping to Tracey Ullman’s past with The Simpsons.
Then Ralph Fiennes discussed what he went through to portray Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies, including a bit of a fun secret about Voldemort’s undergarments. I’m pretty sure Fiennes has launched a slew of weird fanfics with this particular reveal.
Then on the topic of prosthetics, James Nesbitt discussed his part in The Hobbit movies and how long it took to get him made up. But then he also talked about the ongoing problem of being mistaken for John Hannah, and Ullman and Fiennes mention up their most common celebrity misidentifications.
I really don’t get the Liam Neeson/Ralph Fiennes thing. I think if you’re really confused you just have to check if you’re speaking to a literal giant, because Fiennes is about 6” shorter than Neeson. But hey, I guess not everyone is weirdly up to date on actor’s heights.
