The 'Star Wars' Cast Is Coming For Your Loins With a Daisy Ridley Rap and a Shakespearean Oscar Isaac

Take a second to prepare yourselves— whatever that means for you. Sit down, take a shot of whatever’s closest, do what you need. Because the Star Wars cast is here to destroy you the best way they know how, with genuine awesomeness and sexy sexiness.

Let’s get this news out of the way: if you’ve been considering a vacation in the near future, might I suggest a destination of New York in summer 2017? Because that’s the time when Oscar Isaac will be playing Hamlet in an Off-Broadway production. The play is directed by Sam Gold, of Fun Home, and will be three-plus hours of the sexiest indecision imaginable. Do we think they’re accepting Ophelia nominations?

Next, I’ve never bought a DVD or Blu-ray specifically for the bonus features, but the Force Awakens teasers might make this one a first. In what Screen Crush says is a bonus feature for only the Target edition, here’s John Boyega and Daisy Ridley freestyling about shooting in the desert and the restrictions of their diets, spliced together with clips of the cast’s dance parties.

Well done, Ridley, on whatever insane accent you invented to allow “Star Wars” to rhyme with “Mars Bars.”

The big takeaway here— which we of course already knew— is that if Hamlet doesn’t have a dance scene, it’ll be a crime against theatre.
