Every year the Danish Film Critics hold an awards ceremony called The Bodil Awards which purport to honor films and performances without regard to commercial interests or box-office sales. This year the DFC (aka the amazingly bangable “Filmmedarbejderforeningen”) released the following viral ad to promote the Bodil Awards.

That delightful tribute to the Nymphomaniac ad campaign came with the following statement:

Some may think that we all just sit in our ivory towers, looking down on the film landscape with critical eyes, having no fun at all. But just like anyone else, also we can be excited by great movie experiences - and we are not afraid to share the excitement with all of you!

That’s pretty adorable. Your move, Gene Shalit.
