SNL Updates the Classic "I'm Just a Bill" Skit for Reality

In case you haven’t checked out Dustin’s full assessment of last night’s Saturday Night Live I thought I’d draw your attention to this sketch in particular. I know he said that no one under 30 would get it, but based on my own experience I think we can expand that to “or those just under 30 who were exposed to a lot of PBS growing up.” Anyway, here’s the revised version of the classic “I’m Just a Bill” updated to reflect our new legislative and executive reality.

The bit that sells it for me is when the “kid” confesses that he wants to work in the private sector and Jay Pharoah’s Obama replies “Me too, kid.”

If you need something to pick you up a bit after that exceedingly cynical (but accurate) take on American politics, Bruno Mars is here to bring you 10lbs of funk in a 5lb bag. Enjoy, if you can make the NBC player work.
