Sometimes you hear a celebrity sex story that is so fantastical you want it to be true, but you know it can’t possibly be. And then sometimes you find out that you were very, very wrong. Like today, when it was announced that tunnels had been discovered beneath the Playboy Mansion, leading to the homes of various super cool/sleazy celebrities. Specifically, to the homes of James Caan, Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty, and Kirk Douglas, all of whom lived close to the mansion in the 1970s and early 80s. (And all of whom were just about as famous for their f*ck habits at the time as for their acting careers.)

According to some of the Playboy staff,
One of our editors found some Polaroids from 1977 that showed a large excavation project at The Mansion. We asked the new general manager at The Mansion about these photos. He said, very matter-of-factly, “that’s probably when they built the tunnels in the 70s.”
Digging a little deeper, the Playboy Treasure Hunters found a basement area full of drawings and blueprints. (The tunnels themselves had been closed up a few decades ago.)
Among all of those drawings was this insane sex tunnel gem:
If you click to embiggen, you’ll see the tunnels are labeled by their respective destinations. Also please note the dapper 70s haircut and flared leg suits on the scale figures below. Because back then, you would get dressed up for travel in your secret sex tunnels. Like a gentleman.
