Deadpool #40, which hit your friendly local comic book store today, features Sarah Silverman as a very special celebrity guest. Along with writers Jason Aaron and Jason Latour, Sarah does that thing she does so well: yell at people.
Gerry Duggan, one of the comic’s writers said that Sarah’s appearance in a protest against the evil company Roxxon makes total sense because, even if “gracking” isn’t the real Sarah’s number one cause, “she’s environmentally aware and her heart is in a good place.” I think it’s a perfect fit because can’t you just imagine her mini-rant up there going a step farther?
Though apparently Comics Sarah is way tamer than Real Life Sarah. Real Life Sarah would DEFINITELY choose a better euphemism for her lady parts than “you-know-what”. And, while we’re on the subject, that censored sign is a nice gag, but can you really and truly not put the word “vagina” in a Deadpool comic? That book already comes with a parental advisory on it.
