I’ve been hearing the details of Tropical Storm Irene lately and I’d like to say hi to all the readers in the path of the storm and hope that all of you have your plywood and bottled water ready to go. Me? I’m not in Miami right now and won’t be anytime soon so I don’t have to worry. Oh, and also stock up on whatever intoxicant of choice you use to help with the mind-numbing boredom of most hurricanes and/or tropical storms. I know it’s hard to believe that a deadly natural disaster can be boring, but if your house/apartment/dorm/whatever is secure and you’ve got all your emergency supplies on hand those damn things last FOREVER. I remember one storm my freshman year of university that lasted like two days and we were in lockdown in the dorms the whole time. Trying to get six girls to agree on what movie to watch after we’d already been watching movies for one whole day was the real disaster. Anyway, stay safe, tropical Pajibans! “My Collection Obsession” on TLC
“Top Gear” on History
“Vegas Strip” on TruTV
10:30pm: “Entourage” on HBO
11:00pm: “Home Takeover with Simon and Tomas” on OWN. Series premiere.
“Thicker Than Water: The Marino” on Bravo. I was wondering if Dan Marino’s family had their own reality series because that would at least make a little bit of sense but no, it’s some random New Jersey family and in the description it talks about ‘shuttling the kids to soccer practice in their Jimmy Choos’ which I hate on principle if it’s just marketing blather. If it’s true, I hate it even more because that’s a waste of good shoes. Anyway, nothing special to see here and it’s classified as a “special presentation” but I’m pretty sure it’s really a pilot in disguise. Beware.
