I never realize how much TV sucks until the summer when I don’t have as many night time activities and/or homework to deal with. I’ll be sitting there like “It’s too damn hot to go outside and look at lightening bugs again. (Tangent: Lightning bugs vs. fireflies. What do you use and where are you, I’m trying to figure out if this is regional or just a preference thing.) What’s on TV?” and then I realize nothing is on TV. Nothing at all. Thank god we got Netflix through the Wii recently. Here’s your Tuesday night:
8:00 p.m.: “Hell’s Kitchen” on Fox.
“Afraid of the Dark” on History. Two hour special presentation.
“Losing It With Jillian” on NBC. I’ve seen commercials for this show, and that woman scares me. Also, having someone yelling in my face about losing weight like she does on the show would only make me go out and buy a dozen Krispy Kremes and chase them with a gallon of whole milk. I am what’s known as weapons level stubborn, though.
“Pretty Little Liars” on ABC Family.
“Wipeout” on ABC.
9:00 p.m.: “America’s Got Talent” on NBC. Two hour episodes begin.
“The Last Lion of Liuwa” on Animal Planet. One hour special presentation.
“Deadliest Catch” on Discovery.
“Downfall” on ABC.
“Hawthorne” on TNT.
“Law and Order: Criminal Intent” on USA. Two-hour ninth season finale at a special time.
“Warehouse 13” on SyFy. Second season premiere. I tried watching this for a while, but the lead guy came off to me like he was trying to do an impression of Agent Booth from “Bones” and it got on my nerves really quickly.
10:00 p.m.: “Deadliest Catch: After the Catch: The Fleet” on Discovery.
“Deadliest Warrior” on Spike TV. This week is Ming Warrior vs. Musketeer.
“The Hills” on MTV.
“Jersey Couture” on Oxygen.
“Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List” on Bravo.
“Memphis Beat” on TNT.
“PBS Special: POV: Promised Land” on PBS.
“Primetime” on ABC. Fourth season premiere.
“Rescue Me” on FX.
“Table for 12” on TLC. One hour special presentation.
Late Night Listings:
“The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on NBC featuring Jason Segel, Jenni JWoww Farley, and Enrique Iglesias.
“The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” on Comedy Central featuring Julianne Moore.
“The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central featuring Garret Keizer.
