Jay Leno is Now Diamonds! Not Really, But I Wish.

Sometimes when I’ve got TV on more for background noise than for entertainment purposes (hello “Criminal Minds” marathons!) I tend to notice certain commercials more frequently. One of the commercials, or series of commercials really, that I’ve been noticing more frequently these days is the State Farm commercials with the dark haired tall guy who wants to tell you all about how awesome State Farm is, except whenever all these commercials come on all I can think is “WHY ARE YOU SO CREEPY?!?” I can’t quite pin point what I find so off putting about him, but it doesn’t help that the first commercials I saw with him involved him looming around while stuff happened to other people and then twisting it in a way that related back to car insurance and made him sound like a car insurance obsessed stalker. The fact that he’s constantly smiling doesn’t make the whole thing any better. Anyway, here’s your Wednesday night TV:

8:00pm: “Big Brother” on CBS

“Minute to Win It” on NBC

“Paul McCartney in Performance at The White House” on PBS. Fun fact; President Obama would’ve been about eight years old when The White Album was released. I’m not implying anything with that, I just like trivia.

“So You Think You Can Dance” on Fox

9:00pm: “America’s Got Talent” on NBC

“Come Dine With Me” on BBCA

“Confessions: Animal Hoarding” on Animal Planet. I saw about ten minutes of this last week, it is unbelievably depressing.

“Dad Camp” on VH1. First season finale at a special time.

“Ghost Hunters International” on SyFy

“Mythbusters: Buster’s Cut” on Discovery

“Plain Jane” on The CW. Series premiere.

“Top Chef” on Bravo

10:00pm: “24 Hour Restaurant Battle” on Food Network

“Bert the Conquerer” on Travel

“Billy the Exterminator: Billy Goes to the Gulf” on A&E. One hour special presentation. Look, I get that this Billy character is a stand-up guy, but the oil spill is not a confused raccoon in need of relocating. This makes less than no sense to me.

“Bridal Bootcamp” on VH1. First season finale.

“Chasing Mummies” on History

“The Choir” on BBCA

“Hot in Cleveland” on TV Land

“Monsters Inside Me” on Animal Planet. Apparently this is a bit of a cult hit around these parts so I’ll start listing in it all it’s parasitic, remotely terrifying glory. Enjoy!

“Psych” on USA

“The Real World” on MTV

“Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman” on Science. First season finale.

“Toddlers and Tiaras” on TLC

“Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns” on TBS

“Work of Art: The Next Great Artist” on Bravo

Late Night Listings

“The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS featuring Michael Keaton, Ron Dante, and The Flaming Lips

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC featuring Eva Mendes, Isiah Mustafa, and Robert Cray

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC featuring Zac Efron, Lisa Ling, and Rhymefest

“The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” on CBS featuring Carrie Fisher, and Ron Livingston

“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on NBC featuring Luke Wilson, 50 Cent, and Dierks Bentley

“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Comedy Central featuring Robert O’Connell

“The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central featuring Elon Musk
