Pajiba After Dark: What Can I Say?

This weekend has been marked by an astounding amount of bad news. There are many things I could say here, but mostly I just want to say that my heart goes out to the people of Norway, China, and those who loved Ms.Winehouse either personally or from afar. Russell Brand has an incredibly lovely tribute and heart wrenching discussion of the nature of addiction dedicated to the late singer. I’ve been following BBC News the last couple days for developments in the bombing and shooting in Norway, as well as updates on the Chinese train accident. Oh, and I’d like to ask for civility and courtesy in the comments if you’re going to discuss any of the above events. Thank you. There is, as always, some television on tonight if you’re interested. I understand if you’re not, but regardless, here’s your Sunday night TV:

7:00pm: “Dateline NBC” on NBC

“Sand Masters” on Travel

8:00pm: “Big Brother” on CBS

“Food Network Challenge” on Food Network

“Jerseylicious” on Style

“Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes” on OWN

“Sunday Best” on BET

9:00pm: “Bait Car” on TruTV

“Big Rich Texas” on Style.

“Bridezillas” on WE

“Celebrity Rehab with Dr.Drew” on VH1

“Finding Sarah” on OWN. First season finale.

“The Glee Project” on Oxygen

“Hoarding: Buried Alive” on TLC

“Ice Road Truckers” on History

“Leverage” on TNT

“Masterpiece!: Zen: Cabal” on PBS

“The Next Food Network Star” on Food Network

“Same Name” on CBS. Series premiere. This is a whole show about people who happen to have the same name as celebrities who then switch lives with those celebrities. You’d think they could at least come up with a marginally more interesting title, but perhaps they’re already counting on cancellation. First episode is David Hasselhoff, which does not bode well.

“True Blood” on HBO

10:00pm: “Bar Rescue” on SpikeTV

“Behind the Music: Mary J. Blige” on VH1

“Breaking Bad” on AMC

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” on HBO

“Falling Skies” on TNT

“The Glades” on A&E

“In Plain Sight” on USA

“Iron Chef America” on Food Network

“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” on E. This episode is title “Kendall Goes on Birth Control.” Kendall is the 15 year old younger sister of the Kardashian trio. I have no problem with 15 year olds on birth control (probably an excellent idea, considering how many seasons of “16 and Pregnant” MTV has made) (also, BC pills are frequently used to control a variety of other medical issues) I do have a problem with broadcasting the fact that your 15 year old is on birth control TO THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. Icky, Kardashians, just… icky.

“The Marriage Ref” on NBC

“My Strange Addiction” on TLC

“The Protector” on Lifetime

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” on Bravo

“The Real L Word” on Showtime

“Ryan & Tatum: The O’Neals” on OWN

“Top Gear” on History

“Vegas Strip” on TruTV

10:30pm: “Entourage” on HBO. Eighth season premiere.

“Ice Loves Coco” on E

11:00pm: “Watch What Happens: Live” on Bravo

11:45pm: “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” on Adult Swim. Eighth season finale.
