Pajiba After Dark: Because You Don't Want to Miss Another Cliched Cake Show

I’ve had someone point out that my time for “WWE: Raw” is apparently inaccurate for wherever they are twice now. I’d like to apologize, first of all, in case this individual missed the first hour of “Raw” when all the important plot lines are established and thus spent the second hour wondering why all these greasy men in swim trunks were throwing each other around the ring. I know that it’s hard to follow the subtleties of such a show without all the information presented up front. However, I’d also like to remind all of you that whatever I put here is subject to local scheduling abnormalities and time zone weirdness. Most of the shows I list are listed by their Eastern time slots, so if you aren’t blessed enough to live in the correct time zone then please always double check with a local source for anything you really don’t want to miss. (Watch, now I’ll get a job somewhere other than the Eastern time zone.) I would love to tell you that I’m always right all the time forever but that just isn’t the case. I’m sorry to crush your dreams. Santa Claus isn’t real either. Here’s your Tuesday night TV:

8:00pm: “America’s Got Talent” on NBC

“Cupcake Wars” on Food Network

“History Detectives” on PBS. Ninth season premiere.

“Masterchef” on Fox

“Pretty Little Liars” on ABC Family

“Wipeout” on ABC. Fourth season summer premiere.

9:00pm: “101 Ways to Leave a Game Show” on ABC. Series premiere. I approve of any and all game shows that physically punish contestants for wrong answers. It’s why I also like “Wipeout” anytime I’m in a bad mood; it’s hilarious.

“19 Kids and Counting” on TLC

“Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern” on Travel

“Deadliest Catch” on Discovery

“Hardcore Pawn” on TruTV. Fourth season premiere.

“Memphis Beat” on TNT

“The Nine Lives of Chloe King” on ABC Family

“Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy” on History

“Staten Island Cakes” on WE. Series premiere. Oh good! Just what we need, another reality series about cakes.

“The Voice” on NBC

“White Collar” on USA

9:30pm: “Hardcore Pawn” on TruTV

10:00pm: “16 and Pregnant” on MTV. Third season finale.

“Chopped” on Food Network

“Combat Hospital” on ABC. Series premiere.

“Covert Affairs” on USA

“The Cupcake Girls” on WE. Second season premiere. If there’s anything I’m more over than shows about cake, it’s shows about cupcakes. Seriously, y’all, baked goods are only interesting when they’re in person and in imminent danger of getting in my belly. Watching people make delicious treats on the TV that you will never get a chance to taste is my idea of a terrible way to spend the evening.

“Deadliest Catch” on Discovery

“Gene Simmons Family Jewels” on A&E

“Hawthorne” on TNT

“How the States Got Their Shapes” on History

“The Little Couple” on TLC

“Million Dollar Decorators” on Bravo

“Nail Files” on TV Guide. Series premiere. I only mention this because I’ve seen the commercial about 100 times in the last couple days and if I hear that woman say “Holy shizzballs!” once more I’m going to put my shoe through the television.

“POV: Kings of Pastry by Chris Hegedus and D A Pennebaker” on PBS

“Storage Hunters” on TruTV

“Tosh.0” on Comedy Central

“Toya: A Family Affair” on BET

Late Night Listings

“The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS featuring Jason Bateman, Amy Sedaris, and Drive-By Truckers

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC featuring Rosario Dawson, Marc Anthony, and Jackie Evancho

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC featuring Eva Mendes, Jim Florentine, and Pitbull

“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on NBC featuring Cameron Diaz, Charlie Day, Bon Iver, and Big Sean

“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Comedy Central featuring Cameron Diaz

“The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central featuring Florence and the Machine

“Chelsea Lately” on E featuring Emily Mortimer, Jo Koy, Josh Wolf, and Sarah Colonna

“Conan” on TBS featuring Larry the Cable Guy, Cat Deeley, and Reggie Watts
