Today is a strange Father’s Day for my family. My dad is currently in Las Vegas, where he has been since last Tuesday and will be until this Tuesday, so we’re not doing the brunches, or the grilling, or presenting him with ties. Instead, he’s spending today like he’s spent the rest of the week: betting on World Cup matches and playing poker. I’m sure he finds this version of Father’s Day preferable to the more traditional celebration methods. Happy Father’s Day to all the Paji-Dads out there, here’s your Sunday night TV:
7:00pm: “The Phantom” on SyFy. Part 1 of 2 of an original mini series.
“‘Til Death” on Fox. Series finale.
7:30pm: “Sons of Tucson” on Fox
8:00pm: “Double Wedding” on Lifetime Movie Network. Original telefilm. Well, that title does a pretty good job of telling you exactly what you’ll be getting. Good job, LMN.
“Sunday Best” on BET. Third season finale.
9:00pm: “Brandy And Ray J: A Family Business” on VH1
“Bridezillas” on WE
“Drop Dead Diva” on Lifetime
“Leverage” on TNT. Third season premiere.
“Masterpiece!: Miss Marple, Series V: The Secret of Chimneys” on PBS. Chimneys are full of secrets? Like Gretchen Wiener’s hair? I’m so confused.
“The Next Food Network Star” on Food Network
“The Phantom” on SyFy. Part 2 of 2 of an original mini-series.
“Scoundrels” on ABC. Series premiere. When I see commercials for this, I have flashbacks to that Ricky Gervais/Minnie Driver series “The Riches” that existed for like, half a second over on FX. Anyone else getting that vibe?
“TLC Special: The Secret Lives of Michael Jackson’s Children” on TLC. One hour special presentation. This is just gross.
“True Blood” on HBO
“The Tudors” on Showtime
10:00pm: “Army Wives” on Lifetime
“Basketball Wives: Reunion” on VH1. One hour special presentation.
“The Gates” on ABC. Series premiere. Because vampires are teh sexay. Or something.
“Iron Chef America” on Food Network
“Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” on E!
“Leverage” on TNT
“My Fair Wedding: Great Gatsby Bride” on WE. When I think of super romantic wedding stories to emulate, The Great Gatsby doesn’t really spring to mind. But hey, different strokes and all that.
“The Real L Word” on Showtime. Series premiere.
“Spike TV Special: Guys’ Choice 2010” on Spike TV. Two hour special presentation.
“TLC Special: Home Invasion Murders: The Billings and the Petits” on TLC. One hour special presentation.
“Top Shot” on The History Channel.
“Treme” on HBO. 90 minute first season finale.
