It’s funny how Thursday night during the regular TV season is prime time and always packed with shows, but now that summer has started it’s a wasteland. Thursday night used to be the night where I most keenly felt the lack of DVR in my life as I was frequently forced to make the choice of socializing with friends or watching my shows (particularly “Archer” thanks to the terrible fact that episodes didn’t hit Hulu for a month). Now? Now most of my friends have departed for the summer and I’m left with a completely empty Thursday evening and basically nothing to keep me entertained. I blame all of you. Obviously. Here’s your Thursday night TV:
8:00pm: “So You Think You Can Dance” on Fox
9:00pm: “The First 48” on A&E
“Boxing Gym” on PBS. This is a documentary about a boxing gym in Austin, Texas and the people who train there. I’m sure that’s fascinating to someone.
“Police Women” on TLC
“Swamp People” on History
10:00pm: “24 Hour Restaurant Battle” on Food Network
“Love Bites” on NBC
“Mounted in Alaska” on History
“NY Ink” on TLC
“The Real Housewives of New York City” on Bravo

12:00am: “Children’s Hospital” on Adult Swim
