Apparently this week things started heating up in areas of the country that are not located in a sub-tropical climate and I’ve seen some complaints on the internet. It got up to 80º F! The horror! It’s like it’s June already! Listen, I get that it’s a pretty big difference from normal spring weather, but color me unimpressed. High 70s to mid 80s IS spring here in Miami. We’re all still wearing long pants and jackets in the evenings. (Also, I went to weather.com to confirm the weather here and there’s an amusing glitch that shows tomorrow’s low temperature as 32º. I know it’s a glitch because I panicked and checked two other sources to make sure that wasn’t true, so it was more “scary” than “amusing” for about a minute there.) Anyway, y’all can get me back when the humidity hits about 1,000% in early May and I’m trying to grow gills. Here’s Wednesday night’s TV:
8:00 p.m.: “America’s Next Top Model” on The CW.
“Human Target” on Fox.
“Minute to Win It” on NBC. New episode on a special night. I would like to let all of you know that “Minute to Win It” is not on the bubble, it has already been picked up for another season. I know how many of you out there are breathing a sigh of relief right now.
“The New Adventures of Old Christine” on CBS.
“PBS Special: The Buddha” on PBS.
“Web Soup” on G4. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen this show, but I have a fondness for the host ever since he turned up on “The Soup” wearing a uterus tee shirt from I Heart Guts.
8:30 p.m.: “Accidentally on Purpose” on CBS.
9:00 p.m.: “American Idol” on Fox.
“Criminal Minds” on CBS.
“Fly Girls” on The CW.
“Mythbusters” on Discovery.
“Peep Show” on BBCA. Third season premiere.
9:30 p.m.: “High Society” on The CW.
“That Mitchell and Webb Look” on BBCA. Third season premiere.
10:00 p.m.: “Addicted” on TLC.
“CSI: NY” on CBS. I’m considering adding the name of a city to the ends of words when I want to denote their uselessness and/or inferiority to another item. For example “Man, this Shasta soda is totally like, Pepsi: Miami,” or “I swear, Forever 21 is like H&M: LA.” It’ll catch on and be huge. You saw it here first.
“In Plain Sight” on USA.
“Independent Lens: Unmistaken Child” on PBS.
“Is It Possible?” on Discovery.
“Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” on NBC.
“The Real World/Road Rules Challenge” on MTV. 19th season premiere.
“The Robert Verdi Show Starring Robert Verdi” on Bravo. Third season finale.
“South Park” on Comedy Central.
“Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” on TBS.
“Ugly Betty” on ABC.
11:00 p.m.: “Top Chef Masters” on Bravo!
