There are several large television events happening tonight, unfortunately most of them are happing on premium channels (premiere of “The Borgias” and the first segment in “The Kennedys” mini-series) or on a pay-per-view basis (“Wrestlemania 27” hosted by The Rock which is probably the only reason to watch). So that means unless you can afford the Starz networks, Showtime, or feel like spending somewhere around $65 dollars, there’s actually not too much to be excited about on TV tonight. Sorry. Here’s your Sunday night TV:

7:00pm: “60 Minutes” on CBS

“America’s Funniest Home Videos” on ABC

“Dateline NBC” on NBC

“Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” on Animal Planet. Ninth season premiere.

7:30pm: “American Dad” on Fox

8:00pm: “America’s Next Great Restaurant” on NBC

“Bert the Conquerer” on Travel. Second season premiere.

“The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards” on CBS. Three hour special presentation.

“The Family Crews” on BET

“The Kennedys” on Reelz. Part one of an eight part mini-series. Since this is a Starz property I’m assuming all the episodes will shortly be available on Netflix Instant but I can’t swear to that.

“Ruby” on Style

“Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes” on OWN

“Secret Millionaire” on ABC

9:00pm: “The Apprentice” on NBC

“Army Wives” on Lifetime

“Ax Men” on History

“The Borgias” on Showtime. Two hour series premiere. OK, this is NOT likely to show up on Netflix Instant anytime soon, as those of us who enjoy Jonathan Rhys Meyers acting in such a way as to vaguely approximate King Henry VIII know. Which is sad, because I sort of love the completely overblown and terrifyingly dramatic things Showtime does with these historical series and I have no doubt that their treatment of the Borgias will be fascinating if not super accurate.

“Chopped: All- Stars Tournament” on Food Network

“Desperate Housewives” on ABC

“Game of Thrones: 15 Minute Preview” on HBO. I’m really glad I’m not familiar with the whole “A Song of Ice and Fire” thing because it seems like all of you who are fans are currently embroiled in an emotionally abusive relationship with HBO waiting for this shit to happen. Like being a big Joss Whedon fan, only with less Fox.

“The Killing” on AMC. Two hour series premiere.

“Sister Wives” on TLC

9:15pm: “Mildred Pierce” on HBO

9:30pm: “The Cleveland Show” on Fox

10:00pm: “Breakout Kings” on A&E

“Coming Home” on Lifetime

“Kourtney and Kim Take New York” on E. First season finale.

“Last Cake Standing” on Food Network. Second season premiere.

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” on Bravo

“Strange Sex” on TLC. Second season premiere.

“Body of Proof” on ABC

10:30pm: “Holly’s World” on E. Second season finale.
