The internet is slowly taking over my life. I’ve somehow ended up in a place where I’m managing two Twitter accounts, writing for three blogs, acting as webmaster for a website and maintaing a regular posting schedule here on Pajiba. Now, this is not a terrible thing because if I can get good enough at this stuff one day I might get paid to sit at home in my pajamas and play on the internet according to my own schedule and that would be awesome. For now, though, I’m dreading the day that I get a real job and all these various web spaces that I’ve cultivated get left by the wayside as I have to devote more time per week to doing something that will pay for things like food, shelter, and my crippling addiction to Sephora. Plenty of people have set out to make money on the internet, and most of them have failed. The fact that I’m in a Masters program dedicated to the legal and business minutia of the music industry rather than, say, computer programming probably means I’ll land on the “failed” side of that line. And with that happy thought, here’s your Tuesday night TV:

8:00pm: “90210” on The CW

“American Idol” on Fox. Top 10 perform in a two hour episode. I’m not sure this season warrant a two hour episode, since even Entertainment Weekly is asking why the current crop of Idols suck so bad.

“The Biggest Loser” on NBC

“Dancing With the Stars” on ABC

9:00pm: “19 Kids and Counting” on TLC

“Frontline: The Quake” on PBS

“The Real Face of Jesus?” on History. Two hour special presentation. I swear I’ve seen this before. Jesus looks kinda like a short, hirsute Jewish guy, contrary to several hundred years worth of artwork. Also, why do we care? I thought it was the whole “Hey, be nice to each other, dumbasses” message that was important, not what he looked like.

“Lost” on ABC

“Melrose Place” on The CW

“Survivors” on BBCA

10:00pm: “16 and Pregnant” on MTV

“Blue Mountain State” on Spike TV. First season finale.

“Independent Lens: Whatever it Takes” on PBS

“Justified” on FX

“Law and Order: Criminal Intent” on USA. Ninth season premiere. If Jeff Goldblum is still bringing his particular brand of crazy to this show, there’s a good chance I’ll tune in even though this is the most boring of all the “Law and Order”s. I wish he was still randomly popping up on “The Colbert Report”. That was awesome.

“Little Chocolatiers” on TLC. Series premiere. Hasn’t this show had like, four series premieres already? Weird.

“Parenthood” on NBC

“Southland” on TNT

“V” on ABC. First season spring premiere.

Late night listings:

“The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS featuring Luke Wilson, Pam Stout, and Alan Jackson.

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC featuring Joy Behar and Thomas Haden Church.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC featuring Miley Cyrus, the first “Dancing With the Stars” castoff (that’s what it says, there’s no name listed yet), and Erykah Badu

“The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” on CBS featuring Greg Kinnear, Amanda Righetti, and VV Brown.

“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on NBC featuring Edward Nortion, Chuck Liddell, and Moshe Kasher.

“Last Call with Carson Daly” on NBC featuring Snoop Dogg and Keane.

“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Comedy Central featuring Robin Williams.

“The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central featuring Simon Johnson.
