Pajiba After Dark: Isn't It Easier to Blame Television?

We are thick into tourist season here in Miami and as anyone else who’s lived in an area that’s popular to travel to can attest, it’s a love/hate relationship. More the hate, most days. I’ve heard that Miami has a bad reputation among tourists because people are scared they’ll get killed here and all I have to say to that is that it’s not too likely if you’re paying attention, don’t go poking around in shady areas looking for “where the locals hang,” and stay the hell out of the left lane if you’re sightseeing while driving. Oh, also, Cuban coffee is not Starbucks coffee. If you usually get a venti triple shot whatever, you should still start with just the one weensy cup of café cubano. Trust me. Here’s your Tuesday night TV:

7:00pm: “Pitchmen” on Discovery

8:00pm: “The Biggest Loser” on NBC

“Glee” on Fox. It’s an episode all about drinking! So I sure some parent group or another will get their panties in a bundle over it. Because god knows that teenagers will never ever participate in any illicit activities that they didn’t see on TV first, which is why everyone who was a teenager before televisions were widely available were absolute angels.

“No Ordinary Family” on ABC

“One Tree Hill” on The CW

“Onion Sportsdome” on Comedy Central

9:00pm: “Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern” on Travel

“Breaking Down the Bars” on OWN

“Cupcake Wars” on Food Network

“Dirty Jobs” on Discovery

“Frontline” on PBS

“Hellcats” on The CW

“Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?”

“NCIS: Los Angeles” on CBS

“Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy” on History

“V” on ABC

“What Not to Wear” on TLC

“Raising Hope” on Fox

9:30pm: “Traffic Light” on Fox

10:00pm: “American Treasures” on Discovery. Series premiere. Is this another show about valuable shit they pull out of people’s attics, garages or storage spaces? Listen, TV, I’m related to hoarders and they do not need any more encouragement to hang on to every coupon circular from the last decade, ok?

“The Game” on BET

“The Good Wife” on CBS

“Hardcore Pawn” on TruTV.

“Independent Lens: William S. Burroughs: A Man Within” on PBS

“Lights Out” on FX

“One Born Every Minute” on Lifetime

“Our America with Lisa Ling” on OWN

“Parenthood” on NBC

“The Real Housewives of Miami” on Bravo. Series premiere. I’ve seen the cast for this and… ugh, let’s just say I’m going to be keeping the Pepto next to me if I even attempt to watch this. It would’ve been better if they left the drag queen in it.

“Southland” on TNT

“Teen Mom” on MTV

“Top Shot” on History

“Tosh.0” on Comedy Central

“White Collar” on USA

“Primetime: What Would You Do” on ABC
