Nothing But C****s

So, today is Sunday which is always kind of disappointing. And once again we have on television the Olympics… and a bunch of other television trying to compete with the Olympics. Since it is Sunday, one of those things is Seth McFarlane night over on Fox which will probably be a somewhat bigger draw now because of that whole stupid “controversy” earlier this week about last Sunday’s episode. Like, wow, you got Sarah Palin to get offended by an episode of “Family Guy” that was basically written expressly to offend Sarah Palin. Aren’t you smart? Although I guess I have to give him credit for setting up a situation in which an actress with Down’s Syndrome basically issued a smack down on Mrs.Palin for her treatment of individuals with Down’s Syndrome, which satisfied my appetite for schadenfreude for about the next three months. Anyway, here’s tonight’s television options:

7:00pm: “60 Minutes” on CBS

“America’s Funniest Home Videos” on ABC

“Olympic Winter Games” on NBC. Tonight’s big event is ice dancing, which they keep advertising with “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga which seems to be designed specifically to cause pain to those of us who adore Johnny Weir, the Lady Gaga of figure skating. Also, NBC is choosing to air ice dancing over the US vs. Canada men’s hockey game, which I know will make some of you very angry. Luckily for you, the game is being broadcast live at 7:40pm (ET) on MSNBC. Adjust your DVRs accordingly.

“‘Til Death” on Fox

7:30pm: “‘Til Death” on Fox. Because marriage is hilarious.

8:00pm: “The Amazing Race” on CBS. This episode is called “When the Cow Kicked Me in the Head” which would actually get me to watch “The Amazing Race” if I weren’t going to be watching the Olympics.

“The British Academy Film Awards” on BBCA.

“King Tut Unwrapped: Royal Blood” on Discovery. Two hour presentation, because god knows we haven’t heard enough about King Tut already.

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” on ABC

“Frank the Entertainer… in a Basement Affair” on VH1. I don’t believe I’ve ever bothered to mention this show before, but I will tonight for my own mysterious reasons.

“The Simpsons” on Fox

“Sins of the Mother” on Lifetime Movie Network. This movie has been advertised on Lifetime since, like the beginning of January with that song that was also used in the commercials for Precious. I’m just glad the commercials will finally go away.

8:30pm: “The Cleveland Show” on Fox

9:00pm: “Big Love” on HBO

“Desperate Housewives” on ABC

“The Family Crews” on BET. Series premiere.

“Tool Academy” on VH1

“Undercover Boss” on CBS. This episode is about 7-11, so I guess the boss learns a valuable lesson about the proper care and keeping of slurpee machines? Seriously I think that’s the only reason I ever went to a 7-11 specifically.

9:30pm: “American Dad” on Fox. Fifth season winter finale. Let’s all look at that again. Fifth season. Think about it.

“The Family Crews” on BET

10:00pm: “Ax Men” on History. I’m not sure how this show fits into the stated theme of the History Channel, but I guess they have to branch out from WWII documentaries somehow.

“Brothers and Sisters” on ABC

“Cold Case” on CBS

“Sinbad: Where U Been?” on Comedy Central. 90 minute special presentation. I… you know what, you watch this you know what you’re getting yourself into.

“How to Make it in America” on HBO

“Keeping up with the Kardashians” on E!. Fourth season finale, and I think the short one has her baby in this episode.

“Las Vegas Jailhouse” on TruTV
