I think we should all take a moment to thank Prisco for giving us a rundown of interesting shows available on Netflix instant because damn but there is like NOTHING on TV tonight. Or rather, there’s a very small number of shows that will be of great interest to certain people, but not a lot of variety. There’s the Westminster Kennel Club show for the dog lovers, “American Idol” for the cheese lovers, Olympics for the obscure sports lovers and “Lost” for people who love being confused and angry. At least that’s my outsider perspective on what it’s like to be a fan of “Lost”. And if you’re going to be watching the Kennel Club show, you should all root for an Akita named “Georgia on my Mind” because Pajiban megeara let us know in last night’s Pajiba After Dark that that’s her family’s dog! Anyway, here are your terrible options for Tuesday night, so you can decide if you’re better off going the Netflix Instant route:
8:00pm: “American Idol: Hollywood Round Part 3” on Fox. Two hour episode.
“Olympic Winter Games” on NBC. Last night they presented “Asses on Ice” as everyone in the pairs skating competition fell except for the Gold and Silver medal winners. Tonight we get to see Men’s figure skating, featuring Johnny Weir who I’ve seen described elsewhere as being fabulous with a capital Fabulous. Also, the NBC Olympics site is streaming curling live, for you curling fans out there.
“Nova: Extreme Ice” on PBS
“134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show” on USA
9:00pm: “19 Kids and Counting” on TLC
“Lost” on ABC
10:00pm: “16 and Pregnant” on MTV. Second season premiere.
“The Bad Girls Club” on Oxygen
“The Forgotten” on ABC. How is this show still on? More importantly, how does Christian Slater still have a career?
“The Little Couple” on TLC
“Maneaters” on Animal Planet. Tonight is about Tigers and Leopards.
“The Michael Vick Project” on BET. I’m seeing very good crossover potential for “Maneaters and “The Michael Vick Project” whenever “Maneaters” gets around to the canine family.
“Millionaire Matchmaker” on Bravo
“Paranormal Cops” on A&E. New episode at a special time. Is this like Ghostbusters where they try to incarcerate ghosts or like a show where they try to solve crimes involving the “supernatural”? Because one of those ideas was a better movie and the other is the basis for about three far more entertaining television shows.
10:30pm: “Paranormal Cops” on A&E. First season finale.
