And My TV Guilt Increases
This weekend kicks off the Vancouver Olympics and you should all watch and commiserate with replica about all the tourists flooding her city and the fact that despite the mid-east coast getting buried, there’s no snow in Vancouver. Valentine’s Day is also this weekend, if you’re into that sort of thing. And to round it out, President’s Day is Monday which means that some of you have a three day weekend! Lucky you. Those of you working that day should keep checking Pajiba, because every time one of those irritating ads plays, the chance I might one day get paid increases ever so slightly. For that matter, those of you NOT working should also keep visiting Pajiba for that very same reason. However, before we get to the weekend, we have to get through Thursday night which is, lately, kind of hit or miss. However, its the last time you’ll be seeing the NBC shows for a couple weeks, so drink it in. Here’s what you can look forward to:
8:00pm: “Carnie Wilson: Unstapled” on GSN
“Community” on NBC
“The Deep End” on ABC
“Survivor” on CBS. Two hour 20th season premiere, and I think this is the kick off of the much hyped “Heroes vs. Villains” season. Those of you who watch survivor probably know what that means, but I’m pretty much clueless.
“The Vampire Diaries” on The CW
8:30pm: “Parks and Recreation” on NBC
9:00pm: “American Chopper” on TLC. Series finale. I’m sure someone out there cares.
“Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC
“The Office” on NBC
“Past Life” on Fox. Time slot premiere.
“Supernatural” on The CW
9:30pm: “30 Rock” on NBC. I recently wrote a blog post confessing to all the popular and/or critically acclaimed television I don’t watch. This show needs to be added to it. Guess I’ll be writing round two soon.
10:00pm: “Ace of Cakes” on Food Network
“Archer” on FX
“Burn Notice” on USA
“Celebrity Rehab with Dr.Drew” on VH1
“Important Things with Demetri Martin” on Comedy Central. Not my cup of tea, but I know some of you out there are watching it.
“The Mentalist” on CBS
“Project Runway” on Lifetime. I don’t watch this either, and I sew clothes for myself sometimes. I just think half the challenges aren’t actually structured in a way to demonstrate who is the better designer.
“Private Practice” on ABC
“Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew” on MTV
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” on Bravo
10:30pm: “The Sarah Silverman Program” on Comedy Central. Someone mentioned this last week in the comments, so here it is.
