I Don't Get It

Maryland has lately been experiencing consistently at or below freezing temperatures for the winter this year, and I have to ask how those of you who have a real winter EVERY year do it? I’m cold all the time. Not like, just when I’m outside, or while I’m busy changing, ALL THE TIME. I’m routinely sitting around my house in fleece or flannel pajama pants, those thick fuzzy socks, a long sleeve shirt, a sweatshirt and I still need a blanket to keep from getting chilled. Maybe this is because I’ve spent too long in South Florida and I’m slowly turning into a lizard, but I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t cold for most of the winter. Even in Miami I can get the shivers if the air conditioning is up too high. So yeah, maybe it is my problem, but any helpful tips for dealing with the cold that don’t involve turning up the heat? While you mull that over, here’s tonight’s television listings:

7:30pm: “Fedex Orange Bowl: #9 Georgia Tech vs. #10 Iowa” on FOX

8:00pm: “The Biggest Loser” on NBC, 9th season premiere

“Scrubs” on ABC

8:30pm: “Better Off Ted” on ABC. I tried watching this the other night and it just didn’t take. I know a lot of you are fans, is it something I have to start at the beginning? Or would I just like it if I were going to like it?

9:00pm: “Dirty Jobs” on Discovery

“NCIS: Los Angeles” on CBS, keeping LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell gainfully employed.

“Psychic Kids” on A&E. I’m living with a teenager right now, I can only imagine how annoying it would be to live with a teenager who happened to be psychic. I don’t see how putting them on TV would help anything though.

9:30pm: “Better Off Ted” on ABC

10:00pm: “The Forgotten” on ABC

“The Good Wife” on CBS

“Howe and Howe Tech” on Discovery, series premiere. These guys build tanks, apparently. I’m betting it’s another check in the “Shit Goes Boom” column of Discovery Channel programming.

“The Jay Leno Show” on NBC

“Shatner’s Raw Nerve” on Bio

“Tabatha’s Salon Takeover” on Bravo
