I Don't Think We Have a Wagon, But a Funny Looking Tank Might Drop By

I just want to start this off by thanking all the people who came out to play in the lurkers thread. We love new people! And please don’t apologize for not being funny, because trust me I’m DEFINITELY not funny all the time and I somehow tripped into writing for the site. After hanging around like, forever. (Or about four years. Give or take.) Hell, the time I won EE was for a comment that no one else in the thread responded to and I’d basically given up as a dud. My point is not to get worried if people don’t respond to you at first, just keep saying what you want to say and we’ll catch on eventually. Even after I’d been commenting a while there were plenty of times no one talked back to me. It just comes and goes like any discussion among a large group of people. Honestly one of the things I love about this site more than anything is that there’s a lot of really smart people and some very intelligent discourse can take place without it devolving into a flame war, and the more people we can get in on that the better. I guess now’s about the time I should tell you what’s on TV tonight:

8:00pm: “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” on NBC

“So You Think You Can Dance” on FOX, which is apparently a crowd favorite so if you’re a fan of the show, totally jump in on the comments.

8:30pm: “The Middle” on ABC

“The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!” on CBS

“Dog the Bounty Hunter” on A&E. Sixth season premiere.

“Friday Night Lights” on DirecTV

“Glee” on FOX

“Mythbusters” on Discovery. The blurb says this episode is called “Antacid Jail Break” so not only will this episode involve explosions (I’m pretty sure it’s in M-5’s contract that EVERY episode of “Mythbusters” must have an explosion) but it could be quite topical for some of you out there, depending on how you’re planning to spend your holidays. Already got the feeling that you’re going to take a fruitcake and bludgeon the neighbor with the singing Christmas decorations to death? Best to learn how to evade incarceration early.

9:30pm: “Dog the Bounty Hunter” on A&E

10:00pm: “Eastwick” on ABC

“The Jay Leno Show” on NBC, featuring Dane Cook and Kim Kardashian. Do you think when that much vapid is in one room it creates a black hole? And then the Jay Leno show would disappear forever? Probably not, but I like that thought.

“Nip/Tuck” on FX

“Christmas with the Annie Moses Band” on PBS

“The Real World/Road Rules Challenge” on MTV

“Steven Seagal: Lawman” on A&E, series premiere. I’m betting some of you out there are just itching to watch Seagal sheriff it up. Yeah you are. Don’t lie.

“Top Chef” on Bravo. Part 1 of the finale. I’d say I’m “Team Jen” but I don’t want to be confused with those people who still feel personally affected by the break up of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, so I’ll just say I’m hoping for a good clean fight.

“Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” on TBS

10:30pm: “Steven Seagal: Lawman” on A&E

“Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns” on TBS
