I’m writing this at a little after 7 in the morning, because I have to spend my day backstage at a major venue in Baltimore taking clothes off and putting them back on the members of a nationally touring stage show. I’ll be there for more than twelve hours, in all likelihood. The bad news is obviously that I had to come right home to this, the good news is that thanks to the relatively high pay rate I’ll make more in this one day than I would working retail all two and a half weeks I’ll be home. However, I’m not used to being up this early in the morning so if you think this column is a wee bit disjointed or incoherent; you’re right. Here’s your Thursday night TV:
8:00 p.m.: “The Truth About Online Anorexia” on BBC America.
“Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars” on NFL Network.
“Saturday Night Live: A Very Gilly Christmas” on NBC. If you watch this, may god have mercy upon your soul.
“Survivor” on CBS.
9:00 p.m.: “CSI: Original Flavor” on CBS.
10:00 p.m.: “The Jay Leno Show” on NBC.
“Jersey Shore” on MTV. My father, who is an enthusiast of terrible television and still wonders why “Hole in the Wall” was cancelled, will not watch this show. That should tell you something.
“The Mentalist” on CBS, one of the most DVRed shows on TV. Just in case you were wondering, which you weren’t.
