Nope, Can't Explain It
You ever notice how, when it gets down to the end of the year, there’s all this stuff you said you’d do/planned to do that hasn’t happened yet and gets squeezed into the remaining few weeks so that you don’t feel like a complete failure? That’s about where I am now as my friends and I get ready to go our separate ways for Christmas and are busily trying to schedule time to hang out around when everyone has stuff due/is leaving. It’s both enjoyable and slightly stressful. Anyway, if you’re not busy trying to stuff in all those “I’m going to [blank] in 2010!” declarations in tonight, here’s what you can watch on TV as you reflect on your failure:
8:00pm: “How I Met Your Mother” on CBS
“The Sing-Off” on NBC
“Skating with the Stars” on ABC
“WWE: Raw” on USA
8:30pm: “Monday Night Football: Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans” on ESPN
“Rules of Engagement” on CBS
9:00pm: “Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to You” on ABC. You know, I don’t like everything she does, but I do like Mariah Carey in general. She just seems like good people, if a little dim, you know? I’m still trying to figure out why she married Nick Cannon, though.
“American Pickers” on History
“The Closer” on TNT
“Diners, Drive Ins and Dives” on Food Network
“Intervention” on A&E. 10th season premiere. How can this still be on? Haven’t the addicts caught on that if a “documentary film crew” wants to follow them around, it’s actually this show? But maybe they can’t afford cable cause of all the meths they’re buying.
“Marry Me” on Lifetime. Original mini-series.
“My Big Friggin Wedding” on VH1
“The Next Great Baker” on TLC
“Christmas At Concordia - Journey to Bethlehem” on PBS
“Two and a Half Men” on CBS
9:30pm: “Mike and Molly” on CBS
10:00pm: “Chase” on NBC
“Fabulous Cakes” on TLC
“Hawaii Five-0” on CBS
“Hoarders” on A&E
“Howe and Howe Tech” on Discovery. Second season premiere.
“Mario Lopez: Saved by the Baby” on VH1
“Men of a Certain Age” on TNT
“Tabatha’s Salon Takeover” on Bravo. I recently saw that someone has posted a review of a salon here in Miami based entirely on this show which is completely unhelpful when what you want to know is if the prices are justified by the level of service. But, hey, that’s what makes the internet a great place.
“True Life” on MTV
Late Night Listings
“The Late Show With David Letterman” on CBS featuring Ricky Gervais, Hailee Steinfeld, and Diddy-Dirty Money
“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC featuring Mark Wahlberg, Olivia Wilde, and Good Charlotte
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC featuring Rachel Ray, Garrett Hedlund, and Darker My Love
“The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” on CBS featuring Tom Arnold, Alison Becker, Erica Hill, Chris Wragge, Jeff Glor, and Marysol Castro
“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on NBC featuring Jessica Alba, Colin Quinn, and Stephen Bishop
