Confused Looks Way Better on an Otter

It doesn’t feel like Tuesday to me. I’m not sure why but I keeping thinking it’s much later in the week and it’s playing hell with my sense of productivity and planning. I actually almost wrote down the wrong guests for the late night listings because of how strongly I feel that it can’t possibly be Tuesday except that it is. This happens to me from time to time and I can never figure out why it happens or how to keep it from happening at all. For the moment though, I’ll just keep wandering around in a state of confusion that I hope will end whenever the week catches up to my perception of it and doesn’t actually last all week as occasionally happens. Here’s your Tuesday night TV, even though I think it’s not Tuesday:

8:00pm: “30 for 30” on ESPN

“The Biggest Loser” on NBC

“Glee” on Fox. This episode features a very nice cover of “Teenage Dream” which reminds me that the other week I heard a local musician do a live cover of “California Girls” accompanied by mandolin that was very cute and have thus come to the conclusion that the worst thing about Katy Perry songs is Katy Perry. Shame, that.

“No Ordinary Family” on ABC

“Nova: Dogs Decoded” on PBS

“One Tree Hill” on The CW

9:00pm: “19 Kids and Coutning” on TLC

“Bad Girls Club” on Oxygen. Fifth season finale. I’m not sure what the point of this show is supposed to be other than awful people put on television tend to act like awful people. Shocking!

“Dancing With the Stars” on ABC

“Dirty Jobs” on Discovery

“Frontline” on PBS

“In Treatment” on HBO

“Life Unexpected” on The CW

“Millionaire Matchmaker” on Bravo

“NCIS: Los Angeles” on CBS

“Private Chefs of Beverly Hills” on Food Network

“Raising Hope” on Fox. Probably starting a little late because “Glee” is likely to run over.

“Stargate Universe” on SyFy

9:30pm: “Billy the Exterminator” on A&E

“In Treatment” on HBO

“Running Wilde” on Fox

10:00pm: “16 and Pregnant” on MTV

“Auction Hunters” on Spike TV. Series premiere. I’m pretty sure this is the first time since eBay launched that auctions have been a hot topic anywhere. But now that it’s on Spike, that means it’s totally awesome and manly and something will probably explode while a guy wearing Axe walks away without looking back to totally bang some hot chicks. Or at least that’s the way they’ll make it look for their audience of 15 year old boys.

“Auction Kings” on Discovery

“Being Terry Kennedy” on BET

“The Fashion Show” on Bravo. Second season premiere.

“The Good Wife” on CBS

“Independent Lens: The Longoria Affair” on PBS

“The Little Couple” on TLC

“Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time” on Comedy Central

“Parenthood” on NBC

“Parking Wars” on A&E

“Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel” on TruTV

“Running Russell Simmons” on Oxygen

“Sons of Anarchy” on Fx

“Detroit 187” on ABC

Late Night Listings

“The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS featuring Denzel Washington and Bon Jovi

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC featuring Dave Salmoni, Chris Pine, and Lee DeWyze

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC featuring Kate Walsh, and the latest “Dancing with the Stars” castoff. Given the high number of them that show up on this show, I’m wondering if everyone who’s in the cast of an ABC show has a required number of appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” written into their contracts.

“The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” on CBS featuring Cheryl Hines and Wolfgang Puck

“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on NBC featuring Rosario Dawson, Ty Burrell, and Rory Scovel

“Last Call with Carson Daly” on NBC featuring Mike Birbiglia, Steve Jones, and the Walkmen

“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Comedy Central featuring Harrison Ford

“The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central featuring Cee-Lo Green

“Chelsea Lately” on E featuring Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett, Jo Koy, and Matt Braunger, and Chris Hardwick

“Conan” on TBS featuring Tom Hanks, Jack McBrayer, and Soundgarden
