Ode to the End of the Weekend

Oh, Sunday. I love that you allow me to sleep in and take excessive and entirely unnecessary naps, but I hate that you portend the end of the weekend. I live through you with the shadow of Monday hanging over me like some kind of dark omen that I can’t escape. At least there’s an interesting football game this week:

7:00 p.m.: “America’s Funniest Home Videos” on ABC.

“Brothers” on FOX in a new time slot. Anybody watching this?

“Football Night in America” on NBC.

7:30 p.m.: “American Dad” on FOX.

8:00 p.m.: “The Amazing Race” on CBS.

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” on ABC.

“Family Guy” on FOX at a “special time.”

8:15 p.m.: “Sunday Night Football: Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles” on NBC.

8:30 p.m.: “Family Guy Presents: Seth and Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show” on FOX God help me, but I may watch part of this because Seth MacFarlane is kind of hot. Don’t judge.

9:00 p.m.: “Curb Your Enthusiasm” on HBO.

“Desperate Housewives” on ABC.

“Dexter” on Showtime.

“Family Guy” on FOX.

“Keeping Up With The Kardashians: The Wedding” on E!, in case anyone wants to watch a train wreck happen.

“Masterpiece!: Place of Execution” on PBS.

“Three Rivers” on CBS.

“TLC Special: Kidnapped for 18 Years: The Jaycee Lee Dugard Story” on TLC, which is known for it’s classy and thoughtful programming.

“Tool Academy” on VH1.

9:30 p.m.: “Bored to Death” on HBO.

“The Cleveland Show” on FOX, who may as well just hand over their controls to MacFarlane at this point.

10:00 p.m.: “Californication” on Showtime.

“Cold Case” on CBS.

“Mad Men” on AMC.

“Iron Chef America” on Food Network, even though I hate it, since someone mentioned it last week. “Iron Chef America” is why we can’t have nice things in this country; there was NOTHING wrong with the original “Iron Chef” and the American version is a sorry substitute.

“Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew” on VH1.

“Brothers and Sisters” on ABC.
