SOS: Save Our Show

We’re nearly at the end of the week, which is exciting all on it’s own but also because we’re getting closer to American Thanksgiving and I’m excited to go home and eat ridiculous amounts of food. Of course, we’re also getting closer to the end of the semester for me which is kind of nerve wracking for me because it’s my last semester of classes and I’m sort of blocking on how much work I still have to do. HOWEVER, somewhere in my busy schedule I found time to email FX about keeping “Terriers” on the air, and I told them that I was totally a minor internet celebrity and I was telling all my readers that they should email in as well so now y’all have to so I don’t look bad. You don’t want me to look bad, do you? Nothing worse than talking a lot of shit and then taking off your earrings only to turn around and realize you don’t have anyone to hand them to. [email protected], go to it and I’ll shut up about it next week. Here’s your Thursday night TV:

8:00pm: “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS

“Bones” on Fox

“Community” on NBC

“The This Old House Hour” on PBS. Can someone explain why it’s not just “This Old House” anymore? Does adding “the” and “hour” to the title really spice things up that much for that very valuable nursing home demographic you’re going after? And does Bob Villa still host? Most of my knowledge of PBS dates to when I was 5 and still watching “Sesame Street”.

“Thursday Night College Football: UCLA at Washington” on ESPN

“Thursday Night Football: Chicago Bears at Miami Dolphins” on NFL Network

8:30pm: “30 Rock” on NBC

“Shart My Dad Says” on CBS

“Oddities” on Discovery

9:00pm: “CSI: Hi, Morpheus!” on CBS

“The Fairy Jobmother” on Lifetime

“The First 48” on A&E

“Fringe” on Fox

“Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC

“The Office” on NBC

“Fixing the Future” on PBS

“Police Women of Dallas” on TLC

“TNA: Impact” on Spike TV

9:30pm: “How Not To Live Your Life” on DirecTV. This is apparently a British sitcom now being re-aired in the states on DirecTV. Any Brits want to weigh in on whether it’s worth the time or not?

“Outsourced” on NBC

10:00pm: “Ancient Aliens” on History

“The Apprentice” on NBC

“Burn Notice” on USA

“Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files” on SyFy

“The First 48” on A&E

“Food Feuds” on Food Network

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” on TX

“Mega Builders” on Science

“The Mentalist” on CBS

“Pawn Queens” on TLC. Series premiere. I was kind of hoping this was a show about kick ass female chess players, but no, it’s another show about pawn shops only this one specifically caters to women. I find it troubling that I thought the chess player option was the more interesting one.

“Pranked” on MTV

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” on Bravo

“Private Practice” on ABC

10:30pm: “The League” on FX

“Megadrive” on MTV

“Pawn Queens” on TLC

Late Night Listings

“The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS featuring Jim Carrey and Nicki Minaj

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC featuring George W. Bush and Jewel

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC featuring Robin Quivers, Bill Carter, and My Chemical Romance

“The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” on CBS featuring Jeff Goldblum and Dennis Lehane

“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on NBC featuring Anne Hathaway, Zachary Levi, Frank Shamrock, and the Frames

“Last Call with Carson Daly” on NBC featuring Michael Ian Black, the creators of “Yo Gabba Gabba”, and Menomena

“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Comedy Central featuring Philip K. Howard

“The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central featuring Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta

“Chelsea Lately” on E featuring Nelly, Michael Yo, Chris Franjola, and Ross Mathews

“Conan” on TBS featuring Jesse Eisenberg, Venus Williams, and the Decemberists
