We’re into the MLB postseason which I’m sure means something out there to some of you, but it means absolutely nothing to me. I’ve been known to watch baseball live, but watching it on TV does absolutely nothing for me, and the intricacies of the stats just makes my eyes glaze over and I feel like a bad American. Still, it’s happening for those of you out there who want to watch and if you’ve got the time to get down to Tampa Bay, last I heard was the Devil Rays were literally giving away tickets to try and fill their stands since they have absolutely no fan base, so you could get a chance to see a division playoff game on the cheap. Although you probably don’t want to go to Tampa anyway, I haven’t heard great things. Here’s tonight’s game and the rest of Wednesday night TV:
8:00pm: “America’s Next Top Model” on The CW
“Campus PD” on G4. I used to work the night desk in dorms on campus and I can tell you that watching drunk 19 year olds act like idiots stops being funny pretty quickly. Although I guess it’s funnier if you’re not the one who has to try and reason with them.
“Hell’s Kitchen” on Fox
“The Middle” on ABC
“Michael Feinstein’s American Songbook: Putting on the Tail Fins” on PBS
“Survivor” on CBS
“Undercovers” on NBC
8:30pm: “Better With You” on ABC
“TBS Sports Special: MLB Division Series: New York Yankees at Minnesota Twins” on TBS
9:00pm: “Criminal Minds” on CBS
“Dog the Bounty Hunter” on A&E. Seventh season premiere.
“Ghost Hunters” on SyFy
“Hellcats” on The CW
“Inside the NFL” on Showtime
“Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” on NBC
“Man vs. Food” on Travel
“Ma’s Roadhouse” on TruTV
“Modern Family” on ABC
“Mythbusters” on Discovery. Eighth season fall premiere.
“Great Performances: MacBeth” on PBS
9:30pm: “Dog the Bounty Hunter” on A&E
“Cougar Town” on ABC
10:00pm: “Black Gold” on TruTV
“The Defenders” on CBS
“Bad Universe: Alien Attack!” on Discovery
“Food Wars” on Travel. The Food Network is launching their own version of this series starring that guy who won the chance to be an Iron Chef but somehow mostly seems to do other shows. I wonder if the Travel channel is mad about it, but then again, the Travel channel did get Anthony Bourdain after he couldn’t stand working at Food Network anymore, so I guess they win in the end.
“Harry Loves Lisa” on TV Land. Series premiere.
“LA Ink” on TLC
“Law and Order: Los Angeles” on NBC
“The Real World/Road Rules Challenge” on MTV. 20th season premiere.
“Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible” on Science. This week’s episode deals with how to destroy the Death Star, just in case you need to be aware of that for future reference.
“South Park” on Comedy Central. 14th season fall premiere.
“Steven Seagal: Lawman” on A&E. Second season premiere. There’s a promo for this where some guy getting arrested says “Are you Steven Seagal?!?” and he goes “Who else did you expect?” like it’s totally weird that someone wouldn’t expect to be arrested by a guy best known for straight to DVD action movies. It’s dumb and it makes me hate the show even though I’ve never seen it.
“Terriers” on FX
“Top Chef Just Desserts” on Bravo
“Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?” on ID
“The Whole Truth” on ABC
10:30pm: “Steven Seagal: Lawman” on A&E
“Ugly Americans” on Comedy Central. First season fall premiere.
