More of This Dude

I can’t decide if I think weekends are too short in general or if I just think that we should get an extra day off in the middle of the week to regroup. Lately I’ve just been hitting the weekend with a nice little list of “things to tackle this weekend” and then getting to Sunday afternoon realizing that I don’t actually want to do anything but lie around and maybe order some pizza. And wouldn’t that be kind of awesome? Like, if Wednesdays could just be like a half day or something? Not like half days when you were in school, though, because they never gave you the choice of which half, which always bugged me. I would’ve preferred to sleep in and go to school in the afternoon but no, I still had to be up by 6:30am. Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yeah, Sundays suck. Here’s your television:

7:00pm: “60 Minutes” on CBS

“America’s Funniest Home Videos” on ABC. 21st season premiere.

“Football Night in America” on NBC

8:00pm: “The Amazing Race” on CBS

“Extreme Makeover” on ABC

“Food Network Challenge” on Food Network

“Jerseylicious” on Style

“Lies in Plain Sight” on Lifetime Movie Network

“Nature: Black Mamba” on PBS

“The Simpsons” on Fox. Apparently, Mark Zuckerberg is guest starring in this episode, which is probably not nearly exciting as the writers or Mr.Zuckerberg would like you to believe.

8:15pm: “Sunday Night Football: Chicago Bears at New York Giants” on NBC

8:30pm: “The Cleveland Show” on Fox

9:00pm: “Boardwalk Empire” on HBO

“Bridezillas” on WE

“Desperate Housewives” on ABC

“Dexter” on Showtime. I know that someone asked why I didn’t have something more to say about this when the season premiere came on and I don’t have Showtime, so it’s hard for me to get excited for this show. I watched the DVDs for a while but the whole plot with Lila just annoyed the crap out of me, because I’d read the books previously and it just felt so out of character for the Dexter I “knew” from the books. Of course, then the third book made me want to smack Jeff Lindsey upside the head, so it’s mostly a lose-lose situation for me.

“Family Guy” on Fox

“Hoarding: Buried Alive” on TLC. Second season finale.

“Ice Road Truckers” on History. Fourth season finale.

“Masterpiece!: Wallander, Series II: Faceless Killers” on PBS

“Mel B: It’s a Scary World” on Style

“The Next Iron Chef” on Food Network. 90 minute third season premiere.

“Real and Chance” on VH1

“Rubicon” on AMC

“Undercover Boss” on CBS. Time slot premiere.

9:30pm: “American Dad” on Fox. Sixth season premiere.

10:00pm: “Bored to Death” on HBO

“CSI: Miami” on CBS. Ninth season premiere. The sunglasses of justice return.

“Fantasia for Real” on VH1

“The Glades” on A&E. First season finale.

“The Haunted” on Animal Planet. First season fall premiere.

“IRT: Deadliest Roads” on History. Series premiere at a special time.

“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” on E!

“Mad Men” on AMC

“Over the Limit” on TruTV

“Sister Wives” on TLC. Apparently, the main plot this season is about the guy wanting to add a fourth wife, so it really is just like a real world version of “Big Love” which makes it that much creepier.

“Snapped” on Oxygen

“Brothers and Sisters” on ABC

10:30pm: “Eastbound and Down” on HBO

“La La’s Full Court Wedding” on VH1

“Law and Order: UK” on BBCA. Series premiere at a special time. Can “CSI: London” be too far behind?

“Sister Wives” on TLC

“The Spin Crowd” on E!

11:30pm: “The Venture Brothers” on Adult Swim

12:00am: “Children’s Hospital” on Adult Swim
