Yesterday I was so caught up in my lack of sleep and recovering from my awesome weekend that I somehow managed to completely overlook the fact that it was my first anniversary of writing Pajiba After Dark. I’m not sure how special of an occasion this is, but I’ll accept any offers of gifts, monetary compensation, or promises of liquor that you feel moved to offer. I’d like to think I’ve gotten better at this gig since I started it and while I’m sure there are plenty of you who will dispute that I don’t care. I’m going to go celebrate (read: go to trivia night and enjoy two for one well drinks like I would any other Tuesday) and here’s your Tuesday night TV:
8:00pm: “30 For 30” on ESPN
“The Biggest Loser” on NBC
“Melissa and Joey” on ABC Family
“NCIS” on CBS. I’ve given this a shot, as there are frequently reruns on USA whenever they’re not rerunning “Law and Order: SVU” and I just… no. I don’t know why, but no. I’m sorry.
“Nova: Building the Great Cathedrals” on PBS. 38th season premiere.
“One Tree Hill” on The CW
“ALCS Game 4” on TBS
9:00pm: “19 Kids and Counting” on TLC
“The Bad Girls Club” on Oxygen
“Billy the Exterminator” on A&E
“Bugging Out” on Science
“Dancing With the Stars” on ABC
“Dirty Jobs” on Discovery. Seventh season premiere.
“Frontline: Death by Fire” on PBS. 29th season premiere. Well, there’s an upbeat topic.
“I’m Pregnant and…” on Health. Second season finale, and the “and…” is “Morbidly Obese.” I swear they’ve done this before, but I don’t actually watch this show so I may be wrong.
“Life Unexpected” on The CW
“Millionaire Matchmaker” on Bravo. Fourth season premiere. Oh, this is back? I don’t understand how “Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire” was thrown off the air after one season, but this gets to hang around. Bleh.
“NCIS: Los Angeles” on CBS
“Private Chefs of Beverly Hills” on Food Network
“Spike TV Special: Scream 2010” on SpikeTV. Two hour series premiere.
“Stargate Universe” on SyFy
9:30pm: “Billy the Exterminator” on A&E
“Bugging Out” on Science
“Running Wilde” on Fox
10:00pm: “Being Terry Kennedy” on BET
“Caprica” on SyFy
“Chopped” on Food Network
“Come Dine With Me” on BBCA
“Ghost Lab” on Discovery. Second season premiere.
“The Good Wife” on CBS. Somehow in everything Dustin has said about this show and how awesome it is, he never mentioned that the astoundingly attractive Michael Ealy has a small part on it this season. I don’t think he’s in this episode, but I figured I’d put that information out there for those of you who also make your TV viewing decisions based on extremely shallow reasons.
“House of Glam” on Oxygen
“Independent Lens: The Parking Lot Movie” on PBS
“The Little Couple” on TLC
“Lost Tapes: Wendigo” on Animal Planet
“Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time” on Comedy Central
“Parenthood” on NBC
“Parking Wars” on A&E
“Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel” on TruTV
“Sons of Anarchy” on FX
“Teen Mom: Finale Special: Check Up with Dr.Drew” on MTV. Two hour special presentation. I think Dr. Drew is on some kind of weird mission to kill whatever good will the people who used to listen to LoveLine harbored for him.
“Detroit 187” on ABC
Late Night Listings
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC featuring Heidi Klum, the latest “Dancing With the Stars” castoff, and Mumford & Sons
“Chelsea Lately” on E! featuring Blake Shelton, Jo Koy, Michael Yo, and Heather McDonald
