I Am All About This Today

Ugh, the Monday morning after a weekend away is its own special kind of hell. I actually like my job right now, but since I woke up dehydrated, a little sunburned, and after driving for four hours to sleep for maybe five or six, I’m not particularly chipper or enthusiastic about today. Totally worth it, but still, not the best way to start off your week on a productive foot. What do y’all think about weekend trips; worth the trouble and ending up on Monday realizing that your weekend was busier than most weeks, or something to be avoided unless you’ve got a day off to recover? And with that somewhat brief introduction, here’s your Monday night TV:

8:00pm: “Chuck” on NBC

“Dancing With the Stars” on ABC

“Giuliana and Bill” on Style

“House” on Fox

“How I Met Your Mother” on CBS

“Little People, Big World” on TLC

“ALCS Game 3: Texas Rangers at New York Yankees” on TBS

8:30pm: “Monday Night Football: Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars” on ESPN

“Rules of Engagement” on CBS. There are a certain amount of shows on TV that, despite writing this column every week and making an effort to at least give a certain amount of shows a chance, I have never watched, don’t intend to watch, and routinely forget they exist unless I’m writing about them. This is one of them.

9:00pm: “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” on Food Network

“Cake Boss” on TLC

“Dr.G: Medical Examiner” on Health

“The Event” on NBC

“Lie to Me” on Fox. And then there’s shows that I just don’t understand why anyone is still watching them. Like this one.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” on Bravo

“Rock of Love with Bret Michaels: Rock of Love Girls: Where Are They Now?” on VH1. I’m assuming most of them returned to their lucrative careers of taking their clothes off for money. Not that “Rock of Love” was really a change for them, in that regard.

“Scare Tactics” on SyFy

“Top Gear” on BBCA. The guest is Andy Garcia.

“Two and a Half Men” on CBS

9:30pm: “Cake Boss” on TLC

“Mike and Molly” on CBS

“Operation Repo” on TruTV. Seventh season finale.

10:00pm: “The A-List: New York” on Logo

“Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It” on VH1. Series premiere.

“Chase” on NBC

“Hawaii Five-0” on CBS

“Hoarders” on A&E. Oh good, I need to clean out my fridge.

“Pawn Star$” on History

“Southern Fried Stings” on TruTV

“Thintervention with Jackie Warner” on Bravo

“World Pastry Team Championship” on TLC. OK, I’ll admit it, this sounds kind of intriguing.

“Weeds” on Showtime

“The World of Jenks” on MTV

“Castle” on ABC

10:30pm: “The Big C” on Showtime

“The Buried Life” on MTV

“Pawn Star$” on History

Late Night Listings

“Jimmy Kimmel Love” on ABC featuring Teri Hatcher, Aasif Mandvi, and MGMT

“Chelsea Lately” on E! featuring Blake Shelton, Ben Gleib, Loni Love, and Ross Mathews
