Selma director/activist Ava DuVernay may have been snubbed at the Academy Awards last year. But does Birdman’s Alejandro Gonzlez Iñrritu have his own Barbie? No. No he does not.

Mattel created this chic doll as part of their “Shero” line* which includes Barbies modeled after country singer Trisha Yearwood, actress Emmy Rossum, five-year-old fashion designer Sydney “Mayhem” Keiser, Lucky magazine editor Eva Chen, and Broadway luminary Kristin Chenoweth.

These dolls were meant to be one-of-a-kinds, auctioned off for the charity of their inspiration’s choice. But DuVernay fans were vocal in demanding her doll be mass produced, and yesterday the celebrated filmmaker dropped the good news on Twitter.

But where can you buy this doll? Barbie will get right back to you on that.
