Newcastle is killing it in the ad department. First they brought in Anna Kendrick to NOT pose nude in their commercial. Then last week, Stephen Merchant shared his feelings on the Revolutionary War, and how great it would have been for us Americans if they’d won. Apparently they got some backlash for that last one (if only from random Twitter users), and they’ve hired Elizabeth Hurley to apologize. For not apologizing. Cause they don’t care.
They also got Zachary Quinto to sell out his country and introduce us to Independence Eve, the holiday dedicated to the British: “It’s a little taste of how great America could have been if the Brits had won.”
