Listen to Emma Stone Belt the Sh*t Out of 'Cabaret' on Broadway

Emma Stone’s Cabaret opened on Broadway last night, and (of course— this is the internet, after all), audio recordings have already been leaked online. She’s already getting some criticism for somewhat weak vocals, (and, yes, her accent is all over the place). But you know what? F*ck that noise. The reviews from the actual performance (as opposed to the internet audio-only version) say something else entirely. Mind you, there aren’t many reviews out yet, but those that are are raves, claiming Stone is “a fragile Sally Bowles.” So what we lack in vocals, we can trust is made up in performance. Sally is a seriously messed up character, and that torment, the emotion, can definitely be heard, especially at the end of the title song. She nails it.

You’ll have to head over to Tumblr to hear the songs. But in order to get the full sense of Emma Stone’s presence, might I suggest some viewing material while you listen?
