One of my favorite moments (never fails to make me jump) in Jurassic Park is when *SPOILER* that asshole Dennis (Wayne Knight) meets up with the Dilophosaurus as he’s trying to smuggle a bunch of embryos off site.
Firstly, after mocking the “stupid” little fella, Dennis gets his comeuppance; secondly, he drops the canister of embryos, leading to…
Jurassic World, apparently. Yesterday, director Colin Trevorrow tweeted a photo of the old Isla Nublar East Dock sign Dennis had knocked down on his way out:
And since we know Jurassic World takes place 22 years after Park’s events, the photo is a cool connect-the-dots moment between the two films — presumably, those embryos “find a way” — and the hatchlings may be part of whatever disaster is sure to befall the updated theme park island. So, pretty cool, huh?
Here are a couple of previously tweeted photos:
Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, BD Wong, Judy Greer, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Katie McGrath, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins; it hits theaters June 12, 2015.
Just in case you feel like watching the whole thing…
Cindy Davis, (Twitter) is so excited.
