Here's Your Way-Too-Adorable Cure For That Inevitable Oscar Fatigue

Are you tired of hearing about the Oscars? Of course you are. I am, and I freaking love the Oscars. I love the pageantry, I love the art, but I’m also totally fatigued on the importance that’s placed on all of it. And I’m one of those dummies who actually thinks these awards ARE important. So distractions (here’s one!) are one thing, but what’s a person to do when you don’t want to ignore the awards, but need a little refresher?

Just put adorable children in where Leonardo DiCaprio used to go!

To be fair, this isn’t just about me thinking The Revenant is a bullshit movie, and how angry I am that I’ve resigned myself to LDC being donned the title of BEST actor. It’s also about all movies needing a quick boost in cuteness. And when I say all movies, I mean ALL MOVIES.

All movies like Room.

Like The Big Short.

Like Spotlight. (Not that you thought it could get better than Stanley Tucci doing anything.)

Even The Martian.

Yes, even Mad Max: Fury Road. That teeny, tiny, adorably furious road.

Thank you, Tumblr. This was a needed respite. See the rest of this season, and more from past years at the “Don’t Call Me Oscar” Tumblr.
