Are you a fan of Harry Potter? Have you thought to yourself that you’re looking for a way to incorporate this into a game night with other Harry Potter fans? Well, good news! There’s now an official Trivial Pursuit Harry Potter game to help you do just that!

Rather than a full game, they’ve take the traditional Trivial Pursuit format and put it into a small, easy to carry card game with a die featuring the different wedge colors. The idea is that if you get a question right, you get a chance to roll to play for a “wedge question”. If you get that right, you hang onto the card. First person to have six cards wins.

I’m sure this will annoy fans of the traditional form of Trivial Pursuit, but it would definitely cut down on playing time, making this a better game for kids. And the small size means it would work on car trips, plane rides, or other times when you might not be able to set out the whole game board. Via the Leaky Cauldron, here are some of the questions:

It looks like it will work for book readers or movie watchers, though readers might have a slight edge. It also looks like it could result in some nasty fights over specifics, as I have seen the books make errors occasionally. (Like the time Harry reflected that Dobby made him lose all the bones in his arm, when it was Lockhart who did that.) This also reminds me that I’m overdue for my annual re-read of the series.
