A couple of days ago, two wonderful things happened in the comment thread for “How Peter Jackson Continues to Miss the Point of Tolkien”. First, commenter emmalita noted in passing that she wasn’t a “true Tolkienista” and then a ray of sunshine repeatedly posted that people who dislike Jackson’s films are fanatic Tolkienistas who don’t understand, well, a lot of things. The incoherent rage wasn’t that interesting to read, and I was too taken with delight in the term “Tolkienista”. That’s my new band name. We’re totally going to get berets.

Anyway, commenter Pants_are_a_must proposed “Peter Jackson Unnecessary Sequences Bingo” and others suggested drinking games based there upon. So in that spirit, I have created The Official Pajiba Bookreader Tolkienista Bingo for Watching The Hobbit 3: Wait There’s a Hobbit In This?
