The Sixties on CNN at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. I don’t doubt that the sixties were a very important decade in a lot of ways, but I’m hesitant of anything that seems like it’s going to further romanticize the lives of the Boomers. Anyway, the series kicks off with a look at the television of the era.

Undateable on NBC at 9:01pm ET. Series premiere. A new series starring Chris D’Elia of Whitney as the friendly mentor to a group of “loser” guys on how to meet and charm women. Unfortunate timing for NBC. I’m sure it’s basically harmless, a review I read mentioned a “clever” play on words in the first episode where a patron mishears the name of the bar “Black Eyes” as “Black Guys.” So, that’s about the speed they’re at, and I almost feel sorry that they’re premiering their show amidst a very interesting and important national conversation about some men feeling entitled to women’s bodies and attention. Almost.

Last Comic Standing on NBC at 10:00pm ET.

Maron on IFC at 10:00pm ET.

The Real World/Road Rules Challenge on MTV at 10:00pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess believes in the radical notion that women are people too.
