"Whatever's Up There, I Bet it's Pyschologically Scarring"
Gotham on Fox at 8:00pm ET. First season fall finale. We’re back to the Wayne’s murder! Which is definitely a new and different direction to take a Batman origins story, tell you what.
Jane the Virgin on The CW at 9:00pm ET. I really liked that we got a bit of softening on Rogelio last week. I don’t mind that he’s a bit ridiculous, but they pulled him back from being a total caricature and I liked that. They’re definitely walking a fine line between over the top and just cheeky enough to be fun but they’re doing it well so far.
Sleepy Hollow on Fox at 9:00pm ET.
Castle on ABC at 10:01pm ET.
Chug on the National Geographic Channel at 10:30pm ET. Series premiere. This is anew series all about local “drinking cultures” in different countries. One, I thought that was the actual goal of Anthony Bourdain (aside from charming people’s grandparents into cooking for him) and two, the first episode is set in Kuala Lumpur, which is the capital of Malaysia. The state religion of Malaysia is Islam. Islam is not particularly keen on alcohol. So, should be either a very interesting episode to see where they have to end up to find alcohol, or a very boring one as they just try desperately to find something to drink the whole time. Also, this premiers on the same night as Booze Traveler on the Travel channel so clearly there is some weird theme alignment happening here.
Genevieve Burgess does her research regarding booze availability before traveling. Always.
