QI on BBCA at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. The Anglophiles among us will know this already, but QI as a series has been airing in the UK since 2003. It’s hosted by Stephen Fry. Interestingly enough we will not be starting with the beginning of the series, the first season of which is known as “Series A” and originally aired in 2003. Nor will we be starting the current season, “Series L”, which began airing in the UK on October 3rd, 2014 and wrapped up at the end of January. No. Our broadcast is starting with “Series J”, which originally aired in 2012. There are three episodes tonight, taking us through “Jargon”, “Jam, Jelly, and Juice”, and “Journeys.” The episode that explains why BBCA fails so hard has, apparently, not been filmed yet.
The Odd Couple on CBS at 8:31pm ET. Series premiere. A reboot of the classic series with Matthew Perry playing Oscar the slob and Thomas Lennon playing Felix the neatnik. Hijinks, in defiance of all sense and logic, will ensue.
Scandal on ABC at 9:00pm ET.
Archer on FX at 10:00pm ET.
Vikings on History at 10:00pm ET. Third season premiere. I have yet to watch a minute of this show, but every time I see the commercials I’m always like “Hey! It’s Jax-Thor Johnsson!” Although I’m betting that Travis Fimmel can’t bro-walk half as well as Charlie Hunnam.
Genevieve Burgess guesses that they’re saving the BBCA for Series W, when it’ll show up in the “Wanker” episode.
