Bob’s Burgers on Fox at 7:30pm ET. Fifth season premiere.
Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown on CNN at 9:00pm ET. This week Mr.Bourdain will be exploring the Bronx, which means this listing reads Parts Unknown: the Bronx which made me giggle a bit. The Bronx isn’t unknown! It’s right up there, just above Harlem! I mean, I know what they’re getting at, but the combination just reads a little odd at first. Anyway, if you’ve ever wanted to know the best places to go in the Bronx for the kind of casual food that Anthony Bourdain likes (so, probably meaty, and cooked either in someone’s basement or in a storefront that looks like it should have been condemned five years ago) this is the show for you.
Homeland on Showtime at 9:00pm ET. Two hour, fourth season premiere. Carrie’s back! And we can all marvel once again at just how a woman so thoroughly unbalanced would ever be entrusted with sensitive intelligence information, let alone field work.
Mulaney on Fox at 9:30pm ET. Series premiere. As I mentioned yesterday, this looks terrible. I’ve seen some of his stand up that I enjoyed, but the show just looks bad. Fingers crossed they have an adjustment period and figure it out.
The Strain on FX at 10:00pm ET. First season finale.
Genevieve Burgess wonders if there’s a message with the new Mulaney show airing on the cartoon night.
