Announcing the Triumphant Return of a Show Mostly About Failure

Keeping Up With the Kardashians on E! at 9:00pm ET. 15th season premiere. It’s really keeping up with the Kardashian-Jenners these days, since the younger two aren’t actually Kardashians. Which makes it weirder that they seem to be working so hard to achieve the Kardashian look.

Sharp Objects on HBO at 9:00pm ET.

Succession on HBO at 10:00pm ET. 70 minute first season finale.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO at 11:10pm ET.

The Venture Bros. on Adult Swim at 12:00am ET. Seventh season premiere. IT HAS RETURNED! After only a two-year break this time, we’re downright lucky. For those of you unfamiliar with the production pace of The Venture Bros., the first season started almost exactly 14 years ago, and we are only now on Season 7. There are typically two years between seasons, but there have been longer gaps. If you want to jump in, please don’t. This is a show that actively builds on its own history and demands that you actually watch the full series to appreciate it. For those of us who are die-hard fans, there’s also a a tee shirt club for people who enjoy having shirts that no one can identify. I did the tee shirt club last time around. Probably doing it this time too.
