A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness on HBO at 9:00pm ET. This is the documentary that won best documentary short form at the Oscars; it’s about a young woman who survived an honor killing and was then pressured by her family to forgive her father and uncle, because if the perpetrators are forgiven by the victim the case will be dropped. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy made the film in an attempt to close this loophole, and Pakistani lawmakers are apparently moving toward doing just that.

Bates Motel on A&E at 9:00pm ET.

RuPaul’s Drag Race on Logo at 9:00pm ET. 90 minute 8th season premiere.

Better Call Saul on AMC at 10:00pm ET.

Damien on A&E at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. This new series picks up years after The Omen left off, with Damien having forgotten his satanic origins. Barbara Hershey co-stars as Damien’s mother who has been waiting patiently to push him toward his Antichrist destiny. I suppose that is slightly worse than having parents who keep trying to get you to go to law school, but probably similar in a lot of ways.
