Those Sunglasses Should Get a Supporting Credit
Fashion Police: The 2017 Grammy Awards on E! at 8:00pm ET. I say it every year, but this really is like shooting fish in a barrel. A bunch of people competing to get their name out there at an “awards show” that’s basically a giant novelty concert. Unless you’re already famous, most people are dressing more for shock value than “fashion”, and that lady in the Trump dress wins the more you talk about her. That’s why she did that.
Supergirl on The CW at 8:00pm ET.
Jane the Virgin on The CW at 9:00pm ET.
The Young Pope on HBO at 9:00pm ET. First season finale. This has been A RIDE and I’m very glad to have seen it through. And now that you all told me there’s a second season I’m deeply concerned with how they’re going to close this out. I’ve been very fine with all the ambiguity, so anything that takes a step back from that would be discouraging. But I am very interested in seeing their expert use of pop music continue.
Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis on HBO at 10:00pm ET. This is a documentary about the Eagles of Death Metal going back to perform at the Bataclan Theater in Paris, directed by Colin Hanks. It includes not just interviews with the band and footage of their shows, but interviews with survivors of the attack.
