The cast on this is pretty stacked so unlike the previous live musical events on NBC I think the feeling around this is more “cautiously hopeful” than “anticipating hilarious disaster.” Although, I realize many will disagree with me, but I’ll give Allison Williams a lot of credit for throwing herself into Peter Pan with gusto. There was a lot to criticize there, but her commitment was not one of those things.

The Vampire Diaries on The CW at 8:00pm ET.

Nathan For You on Comedy Central at 10:00pm ET. I have some very close friends who are fans of this and one of them recently described it as on the level of performance art and I went “Oh, THAT’S why it makes me so actively uncomfortable!” Lots of things clicked into place there.
